Day 1- Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Campground: Streetsboro KOA
Streetsboro, Ohio
The campground was centrally located and worked as a base for the two days we stayed there.
Spend a day in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Hike a few trails including the Ledges Trail, which winds through dramatic rock formations, and the Brandywine Gorge Loop, where you can see Brandywine Falls. What really makes it special is the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail a favorite for biking.

Day 2 - The Rock an Roll Hall of Fame
Campground: Streetsboro KOA
Streetsboro, Ohio
Take a day trip to The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It sits right on the shore of Lake Erie in Cleveland and houses the history and evolution of rock and roll music. Purchased tickets ahead and go early. After the Hall of Fame (we spent 4 hours there) walk into Cleveland for a late lunch.
Day 3 - RV Hall of Fame
Campground: RV Hall of Fame - (Harvest Host)
Elkhart, IN
You can’t beat this stop when you’re traveling with an RV. We thought the displays and stories were really well done, and it’s fun to walk through the history of RVs and see how things have changed over the years.

Day 6 - Air Classics Museum
Campground: Air Museum (Harvest Host)
44W546 US Route 30, Sugar Grove, IL
Making stops like this really helps break up a long trip. The veteran volunteers here are amazing—super friendly and full of great stories. We even got a guided tour during our stay, and it was incredibly informative. Spend the night in their parking lot and have breakfast across the street at the local dinner.
Day 7 - Taliesin
Campground: Token Creek County Park
6200 Williamsburg Way
DeForest, WI
Arrive at the campground early enough to squeeze in some sightseeing. Since we had visited Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater before, we decided to check out his home, Taliesin, which was about an hour away. Taliesin is Wright’s personal estate part home, part studio, part class room, where he lived and worked for decades.
The campground itself was nice too, with plenty of green space.

Day 8 - Travel Day
Bridge Community Church (Harvest Host)
2016 Bridge Avenue, Albert Lea, MN
Nothing fancy here. A level parking lot, we didn't even unhook the camper. The Church is part of the harvest Host network which requires a membership.
Day 9 - Corn Palace
Mitchell Lake Campground
2611 North Main St, Mitchell, SD
On your way to Mitchell, make a quick stop at Blue Earth for a photo with the Jolly Green Giant—because how can you not? The campground is great for laundry and a grocery run to Coborn’s about a mile away. Plan a stop at the Corn Palace. It’s pretty wild seeing an entire building covered in corn.
The campground itself was small, clean, and well taken care of. If you’re staying there, Site 15 definitely has the best view of the lake.
