Day 31 - Jenny Lake
Campground: Colter Bay Campground
Spend the day hiking around Jenny Lake, one of the most popular areas in Grand Teton National Park.
Start early, knowing the parking lots typically fill by 1:00 pm. Our route included the Moose Ponds Loop, followed by the climb to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point, both offering great views and well worth the effort.
After the hikes, take the boat shuttle back across Jenny Lake, which provided a relaxing way to return and a different perspective of the area.
On the way back to camp, drive the 3-mile Jenny Lake Scenic Drive before calling it a day.

Day 32 – Taggert Lake Hike
Campground: Colter Bay Campground
Another early start is needed to secure a parking spot before the lots filled.
Spend most of the morning hiking to Taggart Lake and Bradley Lake. The mountain reflections in the lakes made the hike especially memorable and provided some of the best scenery we had seen in Grand Teton.
After the hike, drive along Gros Ventre Road toward Kelly and then continued onto Antelope Flats Road. Stop at Mormon Row Historic District before heading toward Route 191, making several scenic stops along the Snake River.
Our favorite stops of the day were Elk Ranch Flats and Oxbow Bend.

Day 32 – Sunrise at Oxbow Bend
Campground: Colter Bay Campground
Started the day with an iconic sunrise at Oxbow Bend. This is one of the park’s most popular sunrise locations, and parking was already difficult even before sunrise.
Afterward, drive Pilgrim Creek Road looking for wildlife before stopping for a late breakfast.
Later in the morning, drive Pacific Creek Road to the trailhead for Two Ocean Lake and hike around the lake. The trail offers a quieter side of the park away from the larger crowds.
In the afternoon, drive to Signal Mountain. The drive itself was interesting, and the views overlooking the Tetons were excellent.
To finish the day, return to the Two Ocean Lake road around dusk. The evening hours proved to be a much better time for wildlife viewing.

Leave Grand Teton National Park and began the next leg of the trip heading south through Idaho and Utah.
The next stop was Lava Campground before continuing on toward Utah and eventually arriving at Castle Gate Campground.
Along the way, stop at Antelope Island State Park on the shores of the Great Salt Lake and have lunch while taking in the views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
